Some OOC Commentary on Collien

Collien was created to look like a 'pet' on Earth, in a laboratory. She rarely gives many details on how she escaped though, and getting it out of her without due reason may be a fairly tedious task. She's intelligent (much to her creator's chagrin, I'm sure), though still has very strong instinctual reactions to situations. She's a curious creature, and wishes to learn about almost everything she comes in contact with. She can be playful to the point of annoying, and sometimes to an extreme, around people she trusts.

At some previous point in her history, she had her name changed for unknown reasons. She's currently registered as Collien Moira Holliday.

As I've said, she's quite instinctual in some ways, and is still very based upon the collie genetics that they created her from. This shows itself in the fact that she can be easily distracted at times, especially when emotionally distraught.

Collien's history:

Collien was created by a governmental agency as a stealth biological weapon on Earth in the year 2110. Recombinants, in her timeline, have been used for menial tasks and various other nefarious deeds for quite some time. She was used to infiltrate high-level officials homes' and 'take them out,' or extract information from their mind. She was controlled through psionics and drugs, and describing this time in her life would not contribute well to her history, nor would it truly enlighten anyone in any way. It would just dredge up things she's long forgotten (or not).

Eventually, Collien began to grow resistant to the control drugs and the psionic control. She resisted her masters, and left the laboratory on a less than... friendly note. (She destroyed it. Not the building, but everyone in it, down to the last soul.)

Zoom ahead a few years for me. Collien has found FurrySpace, and begun to get involved with the individuals and conglomerates there. She hit her 'high' point when the Borg attacked a few years ago, helping to halt their progress and even cause them some damage by creative use of her ship at the time, a YT-1300 Corellian Light Freighter designated 'The Running Collie' and around 60 metric tons of anti-matter bombs and other volatile substances. Her life in FurrySpace has not been an easy one, but she would ask for nothing else. She has met good friends, found soul-mates, and love. She strives for peace in the face of strife and adversity, and hopes that Zalitha will continue to protect the Independent Trader's Guild.

A little note about her player:

Yes, Collien's player is male. No, in 'real life' I do not, in any way, wish to be female. Online I do enjoy playing female characters occasionally. It's a new viewpoint on the world, a new way to see things. I try very hard to play the character in a way I believe an intelligent female would react in those situations. Of course... I believe that males and females in real life are very similar, and the only pitfall we really have is that we delude ourselves into believing all of the mishmash about men and women being different species. Socially, we're different, due to our own consent. Physically or mentally? Not in this one's opinion.
