The command will come through their cellphones (or analogous devices), which will be given away free for purposes of control. People will drop dead in supermarkets sprawled in aisles and over freezer cases, parking lots beside their leased automobiles, in theaters during movies. The population will have acquired cyanide capsules in anticipation of this eventuality, considering the purchase prudent, and cost-effective due to numerous incentive plans. Children's cyanide capsules will be sugar-coated and come in bright, fun colors. The afterlife will be portrayed as more desirable, but mortal life is one's patriotic responsibility, to man the country's military, to keep its economy humming; the specific niceties of existence are an irrelevance, they are motions to be gone through before the eternal reward. Redundancies in the civilian population inevitably arise through unchecked market forces, and auto-suicide is a necessary and indeed civilized solution to what otherwise would bring about needless suffering and doubt.
