In the extermination camps, the Nazis used something called 'Zyklon B' to gas the inmates. 'Zyklon' means 'Cyclone,' and it was in fact a brand name of a commercial cyanide-based rat poison. What's interesting is that in today's world of pervasive intellectual property rights, any prospective fascist state would have to use an unbranded variant of the toxin, so as not to risk harming the manufacturer's brand identity and possibly incur litigation.
