Different inking options are very well detailed in Gary Martin's book from Dark Horse Press, The Art of Comic Book Inking, but the basics are to close all your shapes and lines. The image on the right is an example of the type of inks that work well with computer toning -- there is variation of line weights, including a heavy line on the silhouettes of the characters. We will use this panel as an example to show toning and lettering, all within Photoshop.
