You stand in a small, pleasant lobby, kept spotless by Dreamstar's fine cleaning services. Large potted plants add an agreeable bit of greenery to the environment, and comfortable couches for a variety of species invite relaxation and conversation. On the walls are continuously scrolling listings of local currency exchange rates, and the values of various well known companies. The New Ork Stock Exchange also has a terminal to itself, although it is still dark and silent, awaiting the activation of the exchange. Along one wall is a line of terminals for public access to ITG's information databases. The following message comes up when you seat yourself and activate a terminal: Welcome! We encourage trade and communication between all. We are currently in the process of building our offices and so it is still, lamentably, a bit rough around here. We hope to have tidied up considerably in a short while, and encourage you to return frequently. Also visible on the terminal are links to other locations with information of interest. Currently three categories are blinking gently before you: You see that not all of the devices visible are, as of yet, running. However, ITG is working hard at this point to get all the technologies involved up and processing. One object that is definitely working, however, is the trader's bulletin board. As you look closer, you read the following message blinking cheerfully at you: This board is here for communication with the ITG. If you
have a cargo you need transported, if you have a trade route you'd
like to suggest, if you wish to buy or sell, if you simply have
a comment on the subject of trading -- please feel free to write. Thank you for your
participation, and we hope to do business with you in the future! |
You see on the wall an attractively framed display. Please feel free to take a closer look. It is the current roster of ITG ships, and we are quite proud of our membership.
Ah, the conference door is open, ergo there are no meetings currently being held there. Come, let us continue through the conference room. We will not be disturbing anyone in our explorations.
This quietly understated door, tucked discreetly in the back of the room, leads to the rest area the ITG maintains for visiting ITG ship crew that wishes a bit of peace away from the constant hum of ship engines, or some non-ship-recycled air, food, and water. Come. We may enter, although we must be quiet, so as to not wake any who might be resting within.
You wish to return to the Arcade? Certainly...
Because a picture is worth a thousand words, we have floor plans of the ITG offices at DreamStar station that you should feel free to browse.
Some OOC commentary on room building. |
